Intraoral Cameras

By using an intraoral camera to take pictures of your teeth, we can give you a firsthand look at your teeth and gums so that you don’t have to rely on your imagination while we describe your symptoms to you. Our intraoral cameras are very small and can capture images at a variety of angles, making it a useful tool for examining every part of your mouth. The quality of the images aids us in spotting cavities that we might not have caught with a regular visual examination.

All-Digital X-Rays

The roots of your teeth and your jawbone are hidden beneath your gums; in order to examine these parts of your mouth and diagnose certain issues such as bone loss, we’ll need to take X-rays. Our office uses digital X-ray technology instead of traditional radiography because the entire process takes far less time and involves much less radiation exposure. Also, since digital X-rays can be stored on a computer, it’s easier for us to save your information and access it when we need to.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

An advanced procedure like dental implant placement requires us to have a complete picture of your mouth, including the details that might not be captured with a regular X-ray. Our 3D cone beam scanner can produce a detailed three-dimensional model of your mouth that includes various oral structures that might have been overlooked with a traditional X-ray. The more information we have, the easier it becomes to plan a successful treatment.

Digital Impression System

Your teeth are not exactly the same shapes and sizes as the teeth in another person’s mouth. Thus, to make sure your new dental restoration fits, we need to take an impression of your teeth. Traditionally, this has been done with a special kind of putty, but now there is a much cleaner and more convenient way: digital impressions. We take a quick scan of your mouth and turn it into a digital model that can be used to design crowns and dentures.

Soft Tissue Laser

A soft tissue laser is often used to treat gum disease by removing the damaged parts of the gum and eradicating harmful bacteria. You don’t have to worry about an excessive amount of gum tissue being removed; the laser is very precise, so the healthy parts of the mouth are left untouched. Also, soft tissue lasers are so gentle that it usually isn’t necessary to numb your mouth or take additional steps to reduce pain. It should also be noted that soft tissue lasers cause less bleeding and help accelerate the healing process.

CEREC® Technology

With our revolutionary CEREC system, we can make a crown for you in less than an hour. No longer do you have to schedule multiple appointments and wear a temporary restoration; the permanent crown will be ready for placement over the course of a single visit. The CEREC machine will create a durable, beautiful crown out of a block of ceramic material using a three-dimensional image of your tooth as a guide.
